Your blog's RSS feeds on other sites is a waste of time and effort
Is submitting the RSS feeds of your blogs to RSS submission sites beneficial to you?
If you're thinking of adding your RSS feeds to an RSS submission site or two, at least check out the sites a bit first.
How much traffic is the site getting? How often are the pages being crawled by search Engine spiders? One can often check how often a site is being crawled by looking at the coding of a website page. This can be done by going to the toolbar at the top of your computer screen and clicking "view." Then click "source" and, next, click "allow."
You will be looking for something, usually near the top of the page of coding, that mentions "meta name," "robots" and "revisit-after" and you can see how many days have been filled in like 10 or 14. A site is still crawled if these robot crawl instructions are not in place, just not as regularly.
Regardless of the above, let's say that the site is easily found when people are searching for information on the Internet, and they land on a page that has your RSS feed on it. Whether it was a phrase in your RSS feed or somebody else's RSS feed that brought them to that page, they must still see RSS feeds, and click on a link that interests them (hopefully yours) to get to your site.
Because the words in RSS feeds come up fairly easily in Search Engine results, it's a good idea to use them, as many people are, but where should you put your feeds?
My concern regarding thinking about putting your (own) RSS feeds on other sites is that aren't RSS feeds meant for trying to get more traffic to your sites by putting other people's feeds on your OWN sites? How many pages of these other sites do visitors view or find when landing on a page - if your feeds are not on that page (or difficult to find on the page), all that has happened is the site itself it getting lots of extra free traffic, by people providing the site with various RSS feeds (or am I totally missing something here?)
Putting your own easily found links (that always refresh) on other people's sites or RSS submission sites? Is it worth the effort?
Why not just add more RSS feeds to your own sites and own blogs?
To me, putting many of your own RSS feeds on other sites helps THEM get more traffic (and more of their ads seen and clicked). A visitor has to find the link to your site on a page, and make a second click to get there.) If putting popular sites or particular niche sites' RSS feeds on your own sites, somebody searching on say Google finds a result they're looking for, clicks just once and lands on YOUR site (having to look on that page for the phrase they typed in, in your RSS feeds located somewhere on your page. They may leave your site, but at least they started out there.)
What confuses me, though, is that these other sites may be getting tons of traffic compared to my own sites. Perhaps, if you have the time, add your RSS feeds to a few, in the hope that they may be seen and clicked. You may also not have that much space on your own sites to include many feeds on them, so if this is the case, utilise some space on other sites, even if you are also helping the owners get more traffic to their sites in the process!
Perhaps doing a bit of both might be a good idea, but I really think that one should rather give more importance to placing good and appropriate RSS feeds on one's own sites.

Thanks for your comment, Goldie.
Honesty is always the best policy :)
I still do not understand this very well. But, I am not breaking my head, cause I am sure little by little the aha moment will come closer.
@ equealla - I like that - the "aha" moment :)
It's perfectly describes the way I feel about LOADS Internet related! There's always so much to learn, and, little by little the pieces fit together, until, finally, AHA! (or AAH!) Like a switch being flicked, and suddenly everything makes sense. I just wish there were more switches being flicked for me everyday, lol! :)
It is hard to learn, but with a little patience can be achieved :)

I am trying to get a handle on this one. Thank you for the information. The terms, the technology is all so new! Appreciate your honest take rather than the high sell attitude - rated it up and as useful too!
